|Exodus 3:1 is very specific about the West Side of the Wilderness in (Egypt's) Etham wilderness. (No Man's land) Or Desert.|
Its important to take the Bible literally, these scriptures are very descriptive, naming names, and exact places, note: it says, Mt Horeb, not Sinai. Also it says; the wilderness of Etham, not the wildeness of Sin. Mount Sinai is actually in Arabia, a lot farther away than a (three day) march into the wilderness (no man's land) of Etham, in the (midst) of Egypt.
|After an unspecified amount of time, they marched from Elim, back to the Red Sea. Only then is the wilderness of Sin, reached by the Hebrews, Only (AFTER) 4 more stops, they finally reach (Sinai)|
Numbers 33:15 mentions Sinai, distinct from Horeb.
