The Hebrews were told to strip the Egyptians and destroy all the false gods of Egypt, Moses did, and in the story of Akhenaton, so did he. Moses was told by God, to go a 3 days march into the wilderness of Etham, to sacrifice to God.
Akhenaton was told to move the city, and built a city of Amarna, and when he saw the sun rising out of a dip in the mountain, he held a service and sacrificed to God.
The thing that can be seen clearly is the parallel in both accounts, Moses body is unaccounted for, Akhenaton's body is surrounded in mystery, Moses and all the Hebrews, along with all the host of Egyptians, that followed him into the wilderness, just disappeared for 40 years. The only reliable evidence is in the Bible.
In the story of Akhenaton, after building his new city, and establishing the faith in one God, they abandoned the city and just disappeared.
we are all awaiting the revealing of the sons of Aaron.
